Itraconazole 100 mg

Each red-white capsule of NoxiFunge contains 100 mg of itraconazole, which is supplied in a pack of 10 by Kimiara heram Company.

Itraconazole is an antifungal drug from the triazole class that is taken orally to treat fungal infections of aspergillosis (involving the lungs), blastomycosis (involving the lungs and skin), histoplasmosis (involving the lungs), dermatomycosis (involving the skin), onychomycosis (Involving nails or toes), oropharyngeal candidiasis (thrush of the mouth and throat), esophageal candidiasis (esophagus thrush), vulvovaginal candidiasis (fungal infection of the vagina), systemic fungal infections and as a prophylaxis of fungal infections in immunosuppressive patients.

Mechanism of Action:

Interferes with cytochrome P450 activity, decreasing ergosterol synthesis (principal sterol in fungal cell membrane) and inhibiting cell membrane formation.

Administration:

The dose of itraconazole and the duration of treatment vary depending on the type of infection, the involved area and the patient’s response to treatment. Treatment may be continued for several weeks or months until the clinical signs of the disease are completely removed or laboratory tests prove the absence of a fungal infection. Therefore, the use of the drug is determined by the treating physician.
